The 2014 indoor athletics season
finished on a high for Belgooly AC. The All Ireland juvenile indoor athletics
championships took place in the AIT arena on the week end of 22ed, 23rd
of March. Three Belgooly athletes had qualified Eoin Nash boys U12 high jump,
Tom Deasy boys U17 high, long and hurdles and Grace McKenzie girls U19 high
long and hurdles. This is Grace’s last year at juvenile level and she finished
it in style with a double gold in the high and long lump and silver in the 60m
hurdles. Tom also was in medal form winning silver in the long and taking the
bronze in the high jump, he also made the final in the 60m hurdles. Eoin was
taking part in his first All Irelands and preformed very well and the experience
will set him up for the outdoors.

- Belgooly Athletic Club, Cork
- We are an Athletics Association of Ireland (AAI) registered Athletics Club, founded in 1986 and based just south of Cork City. We have members from both Cork City and County. We predominantly cater for track and field events for young people between the ages of 7 and 18 but we also have a growing number of senior and masters athletes. All track and field events are catered for with a special interest in hurdling, long and triple jump, high jump, shot and all track events from sprints to middle distance New members are always welcome.
