Successful Indoor Season Continues

On the weekend of the 8/9th February it was the turn of the younger members of the club to shine. 12 boys and 6 girls travelled to Nenagh to represent the club and all preformed outstandingly with results as follows,
Boys U12 High Jump 1st Eoghain Nash (qualifies to all Irelands)
Boy U11 Long Jump 1st Danny Kelly 3rd Ross Corkery
Boys U10 60m 2ed Sean Carmondy
Girls U9 long Jump 1st Hannah Falvey 2ed Louise O’Neill
Girls U9 60m 2ed Louise O’Neill 3rd Hannah Falvey
Abbie Dorney Girls U9 and Colin Murphy Boys U11 made the finals of their sprints
There was good performances and much learned from the following Boys U12 Jonny Deasy 4th High Jump with a new PB Fionn and Donnach Desmond, Boys U11 Alex Cunningham PB in Long Jump, Boys U9 Fionn Nash 3rd in heat of 300m and the girls U9 Amy Sheppard and Ellen Dorothy girls U11 Danielle Carroll girls U12 Sarah Cooper. They all can now look forward to the outdoor competitions in May with confidence.


Munster and All-Ireland Juniors
Belgooly AC continues to have a very successful indoor season. Continuing her come back from injury and illness Grace McKenzie took part in the Munster Junior indoor Championships where she recorded impressive wins in the Long Jump 5.21m, 60m H 9.59s and a second in the High Jump 1.60m. She was 5th in the Shot Put.


Grace followed this up with another powerful performance in the All Ireland Junior Indoor Championships with 3rd in the High Jump with 1.65m, 4th in the 60m H 9.39s a new PB and 5th in the shot put with a best effort of 10.28m. All looks very promising for the year ahead
